This week something very unexpected happened to me. I was having a stressful day on Tuesday so I decided to stop at Starbucks for a frappuccino treat. I went through the drive through because the line was short and I was in a hurry. I ordered and pulled up to the window to pay. The cashier told me to keep my card because the person two cars in front of me bought the coffee for me and the car in front of me. Isn’t that awesome??
This instantly made me want to do something nice for someone else. There wasn’t anyone in line behind me so I’ll have to wait to pay it forward until the next time I go for coffee. It’s pretty amazing how one small act of kindness can turn someone’s day around. I stopped thinking about how stressed out I was feeling and just thought about how nice it was that someone I didn’t even know would be so kind.
This leads me to the question of the week.
I’m going to do my best to seek out situations where I can perform random acts of kindness in my day-to-day life from now on. I want everyone to be able to experience the happiness it brought me this week. I challenge you to do the same.
