Week in Pictures – Week Two

I have been going crazy taking pictures! I took so many last week. I had to narrow it down for this blog post. Most of them aren’t of anything spectacular. Just things from my week.

I caught this little lizard eyeing my front door the other day. He’s cute but he is not invited in!

I love to take pictures of the sky.  It’s just so pretty.  I find that it’s hard to get good sky pictures with the cameras I have but I got lucky this week.

One of my Frazzles was adopted this week!  I hope he enjoys his new home in Las Vegas!

Just a cool light from a restaurant.  Yep, I’m one of those weirdos that takes pictures of lights in restaurants.  😉

My family has interesting pets.  They’re pretty cute, too.

I got a new book this week and it gave me a new idea for a possible new series here on the blog.  I’ll post more information about it soon.

Oh, Time Warner Cable…what am I going to do with you?  I have so many problems with my internet these days.  I’m trying to re-watch the entire Angel series for something and I only have a few weeks to do it.  I can’t afford for my internet to be acting all crazy!

Bo wanted to go outside the other day so I took him out on his leash.  He walked straight to the empty flower bed and just layed there for like five minutes looking around.  Then he came and sat by me for a minute and ran to the front door.  I guess he just wanted to do some sun bathing?

Google can be so silly sometimes.  Did you see the 8-Bit Google Maps?  Here’s my house!

So, that’s my week. I don’t have a lot of fun things to share this week because it’s been a crazy one for me. Hopefully next week when I have some time to work on my new products I’ve been planning I’ll have some sneak peeks for you.

Stay tuned! :-)

Sunday Songs – Honeypot

Today’s Sunday Song comes from a local artist here in Austin. I’ve been listening to Bob Schneider since I was in high school (we won’t talk about how long ago that was!) in all of his various bands and solo projects. Back when I actually had free time I loved to go see him play. But, since I don’t I have to settle for buying his records. I’m okay with it though. It gives me an excuse to go to one of my favorite stores in Austin, Waterloo Records!

This song is called Honeypot.  You can find it on the album A Perfect Day.

March Photo a Day – Week Four

I can’t believe March is already almost over.  I’m going to be sad to see this project go.  I have had a lot of fun taking all of these pictures.  I’m still trying to decide if I’m going to take part in April or take a little break until May so I can focus on personal photography projects.  Hmm…I’ll keep you posted.  :-)

Here is week four of March Photo a Day!

Day Twenty-two – Kitchen Sink

This is actually my mom’s kitchen sink.  I liked it better than mine because it has the pretty window with plants in front of it.

Day Twenty-Three – Moon

This is actually the first ACEO I ever made.  It’s called Starry, Starry Night.  I thought it would be cute to take a picture of that instead of trying to get a good picture of the actual moon.

Day Twenty-Four – An Animal

Of course it’s Bo!  :-)  This prompt was perfect timing.  Bo got a bath and a hair cut that day.

Day Twenty-Five – Breakfast

Breakfast tacos!  I love them so much!  This one is the potato, egg and cheese from Bill Miller BBQ.  Yummy!  And of course I have to have a big cup of coffee in the mornings, too!

Day Twenty-Six – Key

I got this pretty key necklace from This Creative life.  Isn’t it pretty?

Day Twenty-Seven – Your Name

I have a bunch of magnetic letters left over from when I worked in early childhood classrooms.  I think they make pretty cute pictures.

Day Twenty-Eight – Trash

Crafty people have pretty trash!

I was going to tell you my favorite picture from this week but it’s a three way tie between Moon, Key and Your Name.  Hehe!

Did you take any pictures this week that you were really proud of?  I would love to see them.  Just comment with a link to where I can find it.

Week in Pictures – Week One

When I first started blogging I took pictures of pretty much everything.  When I opened Dreaming in Craft I got busy and mostly took product pictures because I didn’t really have a lot of time for anything else. Since I started the March Photo a Day Challenge I find myself taking pictures of anything I can find. With all the fun apps on for iPhone I mostly use that instead of my camera. I have plans to take my camera out soon and take some really good pictures, but for now I’m really enjoying documenting the little things with my phone.

I decided to dedicate a day here on my blog to the pictures I take throughout my week to give you a peak into my day-to-day life.  I thought it would be a fun way for you to get to know the person behind the blog a little better.  I plan to post this on Tuesdays but I got a little bit behind this week so it’s on Wednesday.  Oops.  :-)

These are some of my favorite things from the past week.

I treated myself  to a yummy lunch from Starbucks.  I recently discovered the Chicken Santa Fe Panini and I am in love!  I couldn’t go to Starbucks without a Java Chip Frappuccino for Dessert.

Have I mentioned my new obsession with Bookworm?  I can’t stop playing!  Last week I made it to level 20!!  It’s the highest level I’ve gotten to!

It is definitely spring around here.  Look at this pretty Clematis from the back yard!

Lizards are enjoying the spring weather, too.  I found these two hanging out on my car port together.

I got a little Dreaming in Craft work done last weekend.

I finished up some zipper pouches for a consignment shop.

I dropped off those pouches along with some other cuteness at Prima Dora!  YAY!!

I also made a Tiny Treasures Smiley Face zipper pouch for an Etsy order!

Oh yeah…I drank lots of coffee!  You know…the usual!  😉

So, those were some of my favorite  parts of the week.

What about you?

What was your favorite thing from last week?

Sunday Songs – Love Vibration

Since I’ve had an iPhone I don’t really use my iPod anymore.  This week I decided to get it out and listen to it on my commute to and from work.  I definitely have an interesting combination of songs on there.  I thought I would share one of my favorites with you this week for my Sunday Song.

This is Love Vibration by Josh Rouse.

Secret Life of Suckers – Fliers

Good morning!  It’s been a busy day for me so far.  I’ve been working on finishing up a consignment order that I’m dropping off today, but I still made time for a little Saturday animation.  This week I chose another Secret Life of Suckers short.  I wrote a post about this Disney XD animation short series a while ago.  It’s a really cute series.

This one is called Fliers.

Thanks for taking a little break and joining me for some fun animation. I’m off to get some more work done.

What are you up to this weekend?

March Photo a Day – Week Three

It’s time to share my photos for week three of the March Photo a Day Challenge! I am having so much fun with this project. It is exactly what I needed to get myself back into taking pictures. I have been taking a ton! I have all kinds of ideas for other picture projects I want to do now, too. The ideas aren’t complete yet but I’ll be sure to post them here on the blog once I start taking the pictures.

And now…week three!

Day Fifteen – Car

Day Sixteen – Sunglasses

Day Seventeen – Green

Day Eighteen – A Corner of Your Home

Day Nineteen – Funny

Day Twenty – Before/After

Day Twenty-One – Delicious

Are you participating in March Photo a Day?  What was your favorite picture to take this week?

Sunday Songs – For Good

This week’s Sunday Songs comes from one of my favorite musicals, Wicked.  The song is called For Good.  It’s in the part of the show when the two witches are saying goodbye to each other.  I think we have all had these moment in our lives where we have to say goodbye to someone important to us.  Whether it be for just a while or forever it’s important to remember the reasons that person was in our life and see what we learned from them that will help us to become the person we are supposed to be.

I think the creators of the song can help explain it better than I can.

It doesn’t hurt that two of my favorite singers sang this song together, too.  :-)

The Artists

This week’s Saturday Morning Animation is called The Artists.

The Artists from Giant Creative on Vimeo.

I thought this was such a cute animation.  It reminds me of some of the Pixar shorts with the style.  The outcome of the story was pretty great, too.  :-)

Thanks for starting your weekend with me.  Have a great day!

p.s.  The Green Frazzle would like to wish you a very happy St. Patrick’s Day!

March Photo a Day – Week Two

I enjoyed this week’s prompts for March Photo a Day.  It’s fun to get creative with the pictures instead of always taking a literal picture of the prompt.  I am having a lot of fun playing with different photography apps on my phone, too.  I find that I take most of my pictures with my iPhone now and use my actual camera less.  I have some new products coming up soon and some photography outings planned so my camera will get a little use soon enough.

For now, here are my pictures for March Photo a Day – Week Two.

Day Eight – Window

Day Nine – Red

Day Ten – Loud

This one was a little too abstract, I think.  It had been raining for days and it was pretty loud on my roof.  This was the only way I could photograph the rain so you could see it.  I wanted to photograph the train since I live by railroad tracks, but since it was raining I didn’t want to stand out there waiting for it.  😉  I still think it’s a pretty picture.

Day Eleven – Someone You Talked To

Day Twelve – Fork

Day Thirteen – A Sign

Day Fourteen – Clouds

This is my new favorite picture.  It even inspired me to try a new photography project soon.  YAY!  I’ll post more info as soon as I have it all planned.

Are you participating in the March Photo a Day Challenge?  Which day has been your favorite so far?

Sunday Songs – Cinderella

This week’s Sunday Songs is a very special one for me.  I chose The Work Song from Disney’s Cinderella.  Cinderella is my very favorite movie!  I watched the VHS I had of this movie so many time that I wore it out. Luckily I had two! Now I have the dvd so I can watch it as many times as I want.

The Work Song is my favorite song from the movie.  I love the mice! Of course Gus is my favorite.  I have a cute little good luck charm Gus plushie that I used to keep with me whenever I had a competition or audition when I was still playing music.   I know it’s nerdy but it was nice to have a little something for comfort when I was totally freaking out!

I wish I had some cute, singing mice to help me with my sewing right now.  😉

March Photo a Day

I decided to participate in March Photo a Day Challenge because I loved looking at all the pictures people posted in February.  I have been wanting to work on a picture project but haven’t had a lot of time so I thought this would be a good place to start. I think I can handle one picture a day.

I will post each week’s pictures here on the blog on Fridays.

Here is week one!

Day One – Up

Day Two – Fruit

Day Three – Your Neighborhood

Day Four – Bedside

Day Five – A Smile

Day Six – 5pm

Day Seven – Something You Wore

That’s it!  I had a lot of fun taking pictures this week.

Did you enter my Picture Perfect giveaway?  Make sure you check back this afternoon.  I will be announcing the winner!

Happy Friday!
